Ms. Urmimala Das served as a Societal Research Fellow (SoRF) in the Department of Biotechnology and Medical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela. Supported by the prestigious Women Scientist-B Scheme of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, she established AyurInno Legacy (OPC) Pvt. Ltd. to innovate natural personal-care formulations and bio-refinery value products.
Recognized as a "Startup Jewel of FTBI", her ongoing mission champions the economic empowerment of indigenous Mahua tree flower gatherers across the Sundargarh district of Odisha.
